Network Magic
« on: December 13, 2008, 09:02:40 AM »

Trying to decide if I want to use Network Magic that came with my router. Any comments, suggestions on using it? My free 30 day trial is over and I am not sure I need it?

whether it has any use for you also depends on your knowledge of networking and the OS you use.  ???
Vista does have a comprehensive network management, with which you can easily share printers, media, files etc.

So basically the question is: do you like the program and does it help you do the networking things OR are you capable of using the Vista tools and UI... When the latter applies you don't really need Network Magic.

EddieZ, Thanks.

I don't have Vista. Using XP Pro. Computer savy but not network savy at all. Dont know why working with routers seem so foreign to me. I am running 3 computers on my network now. 2 are hardwired and one is wireless. Basically want to make sure I am secure as I can be with my network.

Don't like playing with it. Just like getting it set up so all can use it that I want to , and those I don't want on it aren't....

You can always try to find a version that does not require a donation
