SNMP and TheDude - ports dissapear.
« on: March 17, 2010, 07:10:19 PM »

I'm setting up MikroTik's The Dude network monitor and am running into a snag.  I have a mixture of DES-3226L, DGS-1216T, DGS-1224T, and DGS-3612G switches.  When I ask The Dude to show the traffic rate on the links of the network map, the links sourced from the DES-3226Ls and the DGS-3612Gs work fine.  the links sourced from the DGS-1216Ts and the DGS-1224Ts mostly don't work.  What seems to be happening is that when The Dude retrieves the port table, not all of the ports are present every time.  Usually when I first setup the link in The Dude, it reports the speed a couple of times and then looses it.  I check the link settings and port is missing from the pull-down list.  If I check the list again, the port is back but some other port might be missing from the list.

I've used The Dude version 3.4 and 3.5 on Windows Vista Pro 32-bit, Windows 7 Pro 32-bit, and Server 2003 32-bit all with the same problem.

Details for one of the problem switches:
Device Type    DGS-1216T
Firmware Version    4.21.01
Protocol Version    2.001.003
