no go could it be because its ntfs would that effect streaming i know it would affect a hard wired connection since ps3 will only read fat32
You can try PS3 Media Server. It's not as flashy as Tversity. You can access everything on your machine and its faster. I prefer PS3 Media Server over tversity. its located here http://code.google.com/p/ps3mediaserver/downloads/list . I'm not at home at the moment so I haven't tried using it with sharport, but I will asap.
Nice man. I've been using MediaTomb on Ubuntu and Windows Media Player for Windows. This transcodes .mkv's quite well with no stutter even on 1080p files (802.11n network w/PS3 on N bridge served by a Q6600 desktop for transcode.)Thanks!
I can successfully use PS3 Media Server and add a folder from the Shareport USB drive to watch streamed video in very good quality.
