Can't access my DNS-323

Just curious if anyone had any ideas:

The Easy Search Utility won't find the enclosure I tried version 4.7 as well as 4.5 (since 4.7 says firmware 1.08 and above and I don't know what version I have I tried the only other version I could find online)...I was hoping to find the original version that came with the unit, as the CD that came with it was cracked during shipping, so I don't have it.  So I can't use the "configuration" button with that to gain access. 

Issue two:  I can't even use IE to go in using the IP address.  I know the IP address but it gives an error and won't load.  I even changed the IP address using the Router's utility program (a D-Link DIR-655).  Network Magic and the Router both show the IP address but IE won't let me in....I turned off McAfee firewall as well and still no luck.  I don't know of another way to get into the utility to update firmware, change settings, etc. 

Anyone have any idea what's wrong?  Any help will be appreciated!

Forgot to mention...I also tried going thru the link in the shortcut "goweb" under "web_page" if you open "DLINK-A226A" under "Network"....

Well ok...strange...I randomly tried it again and it works now...updated the firmware...so now the latest Easy Search Utility works....IE works....all functional now!  Wish I knew what I did different that time versus the 15 other times I tried.... :)
