Dlink855 (Wifi-n) & Intel4965AGN no way to have more than 30Mbps
« on: February 20, 2011, 09:25:58 AM »

Hello,

I just bought a dlink router 855 to enjoy the wireless N standard, after configuring the router correctly (as explained on the forum to enjoy the 300mbps http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=1235.0)

The status of the wireless connection in windows is 300mbps (Channel Width: 40MHz & Wireless Band: 5 GHz) but the rate of transfer between two computers does not exceed the 30Mbps I can not have the minimum standard 150Mbps N...

I installed the latest firmware on the router (1.23WW) and the latest Intel driver on the networks card ( Intel4965AGN ).

I tried quite a bit of config (as well on another computers with another compatible wireless network cards n) but impossible to get more Mbps..

For information all my test are done at 2 meter (max) from the router..

Thank you in advance ...

The 300Mps is a connection speed only between devices and does not reflect transfer speeds. The speeds are seeing are very good.
