I followed the sticky: http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=627.0 and although the changes helped, I am still getting slow intranet speeds.

I have 2 PC's connected to a DIR-615 through 802.11n and each have a DWA-130 802.11n adapter. I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit on both computers. The specs of both systems are very high.

I only have these 2 computers on wireless right now. Their signal is full strength, they are less than 10 feet away from the router.

I am getting 2.0 MB/s when transferring files between them and although I am not expecting to get 17MB/s, but I should be getting better speed than 2 MB/s.

Hard drive specs are Crucial C300 SATA 6.0, WD Caviar Blue SATA 3.0, and WD Caviar Green SATA 3.0. My Green drive reads/writes at 100MB/s, My Blue 125MB/s, and My SSD 225MB/s. So, those are not the bottleneck.

Is there any other settings I can try? I have not messed with my DWA-130 settings nor have I messed with Windows.

Need to make sure you are getting connected at 300Mb on each computer. Sometimes you might not be getting 270 or 300. Check to make sure your drivers for the Wireless NICS are to up to date.

Also make sure that 3rd party FW and AV programs are not interfering as well.

Are there any other WiFi routers in the area? Any House cordless phones?

I am getting 150MB/s (DWA-130 limit) connection speed when I check the adapter status on both. I am in an apartment complex and there are numerous routers. I have tried various channels to see if I could get better speed with no luck. No cordless, just 3 smartphones that are not on the network normally. However, my neighbors probably have cordless phones, maybe.

I use Norton Internet Security 2011 and have turned off all protection and it does not improve.

Any chance you can take the router and one of your PCs if it's mobile and for a test, go like to a families house or friends house thats away from your apartment and see if your connection speeds are different?

You could also try setting the output power levels to something lower and see if that helps. Not sure if it will or not. If your in a fairly close area, the power out put doesn't have to be maxed out. It can be lowered some.
The connection over N only mode should be getting 270-300Mbs connections. Look under Advanced/Advanced Wireless for power levels.

Your transfer speed issue doesn't have anything to do with your router  - it's a known Win7 issue.  I've chased this problem for months and haven't found a cure yet!

In that case maybe BMW could find someone with a NON-W7 PC and check the connection and speeds? Anyone you know with XP or even a MAC that has Wireless N? Could be a good test.

I worked on this for a couple days and I finally resolved my speed issues. I am using mixed mode because I have a wii. so 802.11g/n. I switched to 20/40 like the sticky says. When I switched it back to 20 my files transfers bursted to 130MB/s.
