I've done some testing with SP3 and have determined that the final version of SP3 thats being handed out via the microsoft update no longer suffers from the wlanapi.dll issue.
They've changed the install folder from "windows\system32" to "windows\servicepackfiles\i386".
This elimiates the wlanapi.dll overwrite issue.
