Using Windows 7 Offline files with DNS-323
« on: September 07, 2010, 07:11:54 AM »

Has anyone figured out how to make offline files work with the DNS-323? It works great if I use offline files with another PC on the LAN, but will not work when using a folder on the DNS.

Any suggestions?

Hi,

what exactly doesn't work?

I configured my DNS-323 to work with offline files (right click on folder, use offline).
A set of problems araised I knwo from other offline files relations before:
- long sync times
- sooner or later failed sync (new files are not synced)
- no (working) possibility to correct the sync
I didn't blame the DNS for those issues...

Greetings

Same problem here,

I think it got some think to do with the within Windows 7 introduced SMB 2.1 protocol. Windows 7 seems to be unable to set the opportunistic locking.

Posible a furmware update needed?
