IPv6 when using DIR-825 as switch and AP
« on: May 10, 2010, 11:55:43 PM »

Hello!

I am using my DIR-825 as a switch and AP. I have turned off DHCP and plugged the internet into the lan-1 port. This works perfectly for IPv4, but I cannot get IPv6 to work. On the outside there is native IPv6 running radvd. How should I configure IPv6 on my DIR-825?

Thanks

I've realised that a switch shouldn't care if i use ipv4 or ipv6. I tried with a cheap switch now instead of my DIR-825 and ipv6 autoconfig worked like a charm. So it seems I haven't managed to configure my DIR-825 to be a switch properly. Isn't it just deactivating DHCP and stop using the WAN port?

I've got this same situation, so bumping this topic to see if someone now has an answer.
