I have my DAP-1522 in wireless bridge mode, connected wirelessly to my DIR-825.  They are connected on the 5ghz frequency, in Wireless N only mode.  They both work just fine, until I unplug the power from the DAP-1522.  When I plug it back in, the DAP-1522 will NOT reconnect unless I do one of the following:

1)  Connect directly to the DAP-1522 via ethernet cable from a laptop/desktop and go into the settings page via a browser.  I don't even have to reconfigure anything, as soon as I punch in my password, the DAP-1522 magically re-establishes the wireless connection to the DIR-825
2)  Connect directly to the DAP-1522 via eithernet cable from a laptop/desktop that already has a connection to the DIR-825, either wired or wireless.  As soon as an "already connected" device plugs into the DAP-1522, it magically re-establishes it's connection.

There may be other weird ways to reconnect, but as far as I can tell, just pushing the WPS buttons on either/both devices doesn't work.  As far as I'm concerned, that shouldn't even be required.  Both devices already have their respective wireless settings in place, shouldn't the DAP-1522 just reconnect when power is restored?  Is there a setting I don't know about on the DAP-1522 that controls this?

A few more bits of info... I've updated the DAP-1522 to firmware 1.20, but the SSID's weren't hidden before that anyway, both the 2.4 and 5ghz SSID's were set to "Visible" on the DIR-825.

Any help is much appreciated.  I don't know what else to put in here, just ask me if there's more info needed.

Nevermind, I'm returning the product for a refund.

Apparently DLink doesn't care about quality or it's customers. I'm returning mine too. SAME configuration and SAME problems and DLINK customer "care" was horrible even up to tier 2. Still couldnt' get it working. I'm going back to tried and true wired connection running through trhe house.

same problem here , but i'll live with it as no other manufacturer has a 4  port gigabit bridge ! What else could i use to plug in computer . media player , x-box  and blu-ray player ?
I just hope d-link comes up with a FW fix soon . Other than this problem this bridge/ap is great !
