 I can't get internet threw the wifi on my cellphone. My phone finds my network and it says I am connected but when I try to use the browser it says it can't find server. All my other computers and laptops connect and work with no problems. I installed the latest firmware for my dir-615 and still not working. I took off the security and did not work. I tried both wpa and wpa2 settings and still not working.  I can get on other networks with no problems so I know my phone works.

Check whether the DHCP server is enabled or not in the router:
Heres how to:
log into D-link DIR 615 router page.
go into Setup
then to Network Settings.
scroll down to DHCP Server Settings.
Check whether the checkbox for "Enable DHCP SERVER" is enabled or not.

If YES (that is DHCP enabled):
This means every computer in your network is assigned a Dynamic IP address by the router(you can read about it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IP_address )

Heres what to do now:
check the settings in your phone there should be something like IP settings or Set Static IP.
Well do not set any static IP. Keep them in some kinda auto or DHCP enabled.Look inside ur phone's user manual for more details.

IF NO(that is DHCP not enabled):
This means IP addresses have to be manually configured (Static IP addresses) into each computer or device connected to ur Network.

Heres what to do now:
Go to your phone and set or check Enable static IP  option.
and set a IP address like this 192.168.0.X  here X is any number between 1 to 199.
but make sure all devices connected to your network have different IP addresses.
Subnet: 255.255.255.0(check this in your router settings in the Network settings of the router)
Gateway: 192.168.0.1
DNS:8.8.4.4
DNS 2 : its optional.

I checked and the DHCP is enabled. My phone has been working off and on. When it works I looked and it had a valid IP address and when its not working it has some strange IP address that  is nothing what my router would recognize. My phone is a Microsoft Kin Two m from Verizon. I asked Microsoft if there is a way that I can lock in the good IP address when it comes up but I have not heard back from them yet.

By strange IP, what do you mean? Don't need the whole thing, just the class. 192? 169? 172? 126 or below?

It comes up 169.254.xxx.203 and then it doesn't work. When it works its 192.168.x.xx

Its not that you have to lock the good IP, but you have to keep from getting the bad one. To put in simple terms, a 169 IP is a place holder the Operating system puts in place of a usable IP because it was not given one. The number one reason a router doesn't give a wireless device a correct IP address is because it failed a authentication. It could be a IP conflict or something else too, but I would wager you have your wireless security set to WPA with TKIP and AES security and its having a hard time negoiating the key with the router. (Even though after some research, it is certified for WPA2) How familiar are you with networking. Did you originally set up your router?

I am not that familiar. I am kind of learning as I go. When I first got the router one and a half years ago I had to call d-link support to help me get it set up. My old computer was having issues with it. I know right know that it is in WPA and TKIP and AES are set.

Might suggest that someone from here thats has some knowledge and each party is willing, use teamviewer and let someone review your router setup remotely and suggest or make the necessary changes?
