825, hard reset problem
« on: April 10, 2011, 04:17:57 PM »

I was trying to do a hard reset (30/30/30) so as to load a new firmware. But the router is not getting into a "flashing yellow light of the power led state" despite multiple attempts. The second alternative tried was to hold the reset button for 45 seconds after powering on. This is also not working.

At the end of both the above steps, I am presented with the default dlink login screen. Is this some hardware issue or is there some way around it.

Are you unplugging the power then pushing in and holding the reset while you plug the power back in?

I've been told that some of these routers dont' support the x30 reset option.
The suggested process to load FW is to do a factory reset from either the Tools/System menu or back button.
Load FW.
Do one more factory reset.
Then your good to go.
