Hi, folks,
I presently have my home network set up with D-Link DIR-655, DAP-1522, and DGS-2208 equipment: AT&T U-Verse Residential Gateway feeds DIR-655 which then feeds DAP-1522 (as Access Point) and DGS-2208 (wired switches) through Cat-6 connections. The DAP-1522 (Access Point) and DIR-655 both function as wireless access points to the same network.
I would like to restructure things and use my DAP-1522 as a "receiving" bridge of a WiFi signal from my Android Wireless Tether; I then theorize feeding the DIR-655 WAN port with Cat-6 from one of the DAP-1522 (Bridge) LAN ports... but I'll hold off on that until I get the Bridge properly "receiving" my Android Wireless Tether signal.
I have used DAP-1522 as a Bridge previously, and I am again able to configure it in Bridge mode: I can set the Bridge's Static IP to be on the same subnet as my Android Wireless Tether, and I can continue to access the User Interface for further configuration... but I am not sure what to do next! I have my Android Wireless Tether emitting a signal; upon wirelessly connecting my laptop to the Android Wireless Tether, I can successfully access the internet on my laptop. Within the DAP-1522 (Bridge) User Interface, I can "see" the Android Wireless Tether from a "Site Survey", but I am unable to achieve/confirm a wireless connection of my DAP-1522 (Bridge) to my Android Wireless Tether signal.
I'd sure appreciate any wisdom y'all could share. Thank you.
