Cable internet with an SB6120. My ISP is a small reseller in Canada that uses Rogers lines.
Here's how my log looks this morning:
Apr 27 08:09:53 Lease of 24.246.18.7 obtained, lease time 3600
Apr 27 08:09:53 Sending discover...
Apr 26 21:26:57 DHCP Release WAN IP address = 0.0.0.0
Apr 26 21:26:57 Unicasting a release of 24.246.18.4 to 24.246.18.1
So the lease was dropped at 21:26:57 and it didn't try to obtain a new one until I got home and manually hit: "renew IP" at 8:09...at which time it then sent a discover and obtained a new IP. My question is why didn't it do that automatically? As far as I can tell, my DIR-825 didn't even attempt to get a new IP. Maybe it's depressed. It's like it just said, "Oh, my lease is up? That's ok. I'll just be homeless for awhile. No point even asking if I can stay, I know they'll just kick me out. Nobody loves me.

"
I just upgraded to 2.05NA. Sadly, I never checked beforehand if rebooting the modem would cause the DIR-825 to drop the IP and wait so the only way to test is to wait a few days and see if the problem occurs again. I'll post back once my router's lease expires.
