installing old drives
« on: May 10, 2011, 11:48:22 PM »

I have a 321 with two back up drives, which has worked great for two years (knock wood.) Just lost a graphics server after 6 years with two massive drives and need fast access to those newer files - yes not everything got routinely backup'd - was just impossible on our schedule. Is there no way to mount those graphic server drives in the 321 without it formatting the drives?

The DNS uses hard drives formatted using the Linux file system and is unable to read hard drives formatted by Windows.  If your old server was Linux based, you can try mounting the disks.  If your server was Windows based you should be able to connect the drives to a PC and access the files.
