Hello, first of all, sorry for posting this in the DIR-451 forum but there doesn't seem to be a forum for the DAP-1350. This looked like the closest place to post this.

Anyway, I am desperate for some help here. I bought a DAP-1350 portable router and found out it supports 3G with the DWM-156 USB adapter. So I purchased the DWM-156 but I could not get it to work in the DAP-1350 at all.

Long story short, after doing a lot of research, is that the DWM-156 I bought is a new revision, Hardware A3, and the firmware that ships on the DAP-1350 (1.10) does not recognize the A3 hardware of DWM-156.

On the D-Link Singapore site I have found a beta firmware 1.11 for the DAP-1350 that says it includes support for DWM-156 A3!! Only problem is it will not flash to my router. I know mine is a NA version (I am in the US) and the Singapore firmware is WW. But the hardware is identical so I wish I could find a way to flash the 1.11 to my router.

So, D-Link, can you please upload (or send to me) the NA version of FW 1.11 Beta for the DAP-1350? Unfortunately this router is useless to me without the 3G function.

Or if anybody knows how I can make the WW firmware flash on NA hardware (hex edit?) please let me know. I have found discussion on this subject for other D-Link router models but nothing for the DAP-1350 (too new and obscure I guess).

I'm having exactly the same problem.  The bin file just burns an iso file, and then a zip-which does nothing.
I've never had so much trouble upgrading firmware!
I should have said that the DAP doesn't recognise the bin file as a firmware upgrade, and that the 1350 was bought from Amazon US.

Edited to add that the new 1.11NA firmware is up (from 15/6/11) on the ftp site at ftp://ftp.dlink.com/Wireless/dap1350/Firmware/

Edited to say that it still doesn't work.  The changelog makes no mention of any modification to enable the DWM-156 to work.
