Problems with Shareport + Outpost Firewall
« on: August 28, 2011, 09:23:10 AM »

Hello,

I already read a lot of post regarding firewall and shareport issues but I could not find a solution for my problem.

I am using DIR-825 with shareport Version 1.17 under Win 7 with OutpostPro Firewall V 7.1
Although I give shareport.exe all rights to access the LAN and WAN it is not possible to get a connection to the router. Only shutting down the firewall entirely helps to get access. (This cannot be the solution ??? )
Is there any other file or service for which the firewall needs to be configured? I tried to open different ports for TCP and UDP as well - without any success.

Any help or idea is highly appreciated.
TIA

I would contact the MFr of Outpost and see if they can help. Honestly, with this router, you don't need a 3rd party SW firewall.
