DAP-1522 and broadcasting the SSID

I know that not broadcasting the SSID from a router isn't really a "secure" function.  I also know that tools are freely out there to identify the SSID of non-broadcasted networks.  However, it is a function that does thwart occasional intruder, thus the ability to select to make it invisible on the router.  Will there ever be a firmware update that will allow the DAP-1522 to connect to a non-broadcasted SSID?  Is it even a possibility?
