DIR-615 VOIP DISCONNECTS/CRASHES/REBOOTS Router :|...
« on: January 26, 2009, 10:31:32 AM »

Ok so every time i try using my VOIP phone on this thing the router disconnects all devices for 2 seconds and then comes back, but then you have to wait like 1-2 MINUTES for it to reconnect to the internet.. why is it so slow with PPPoE?

i have 2.25 firmware and it is Rev. B2

It does this sometimes, but not all the time.... it just started doing it again... c'mon d-link.

Also before you recommend any troubleshooting i have power cycled everything, machines, router, modem, reseated cables, etc.... EVERYTHING ELSE works EXCEPT VOIP, as soon as the VOIP software starts dialing the router crashes!!! It kicks me out of the web gui and the internet light goes red, and all machines have their lan disconnected... this last's about 2 seconds or so then it comes back, but then you have to wait ages for net connection again...

**edit**
thought i could try getting logs but when the router reboots/crashes it doesnt save the log >.>.. basically as soon as you dial out it will crash and this is all i get in the log:

See if you can run a syslog, unfortunately you're only getting the startup logging there because when the unit reboots the system log is dumped.
A syslog will let you staticly capture the logs and then we can take a look.
