DIR_655 B1 Firmware 2.01NA log file question
« on: June 26, 2011, 12:23:23 AM »

Hello.  I have a question my dir-655 B1 does not log any ip address' being blocked like my old dir-655 hardware A did.
All I get in the log is data like this:

Jun 25 10:48:15     debug     [   41.830000] jcp_command_unregister: command unregistered GET USB_PORT_NAME
Jun 25 10:48:15     info     [   41.360000] flags=0
Jun 25 10:48:15     info     [   41.360000] ioctl eth0, 35312
Jun 25 10:48:15     info     exiting on receipt of SIGTERM
Jun 25 10:48:14     notice     received signal 15, good-bye
Jun 25 10:48:11     info     [   37.580000] br0: port 2(ath0) entering forwarding state

I'm just wondering why the log files are different in Version A and the B1.  My old dir-655 listed hundreds of blocked IP address'.

Well thanks for any answers.

At least in my case, the log on my rev B router is pretty useless (based on 2.00NA firmware). It also self-empties from time to time (not because of reboot -- the log entries just disappear), so I pretty much don't look at it because it's a waste of time.

I also have a DIR-825 rev A and it's a completely different story -- very useful log on that one.
