Using Reset Button to Clear Password?

Hey everyone -

I bought a used DIR-130. I don't know the original admin/password. Shouldn't I be able to clear the router using the reset button? I've tried, but maybe I'm not doing it right. Is the reset button the right way to clear it, and if so, how exactly do I use it? Thanks for your help!
