Just updated my mac mini to OSX Lion, and now can no longer use time machine to backup to the service on DNS-325.  Error about version of the server not supported, and " The network backup disk does not support the required AFP features."

I had used this for a while before the upgrade to OSX Lion..

Anyone else run into this?  Is there a work around, or when is an update expected?

Apple File Protocol has been updated and firmware 1.01 does not meet the requirements for the new time machine in Lion. The newest version of freeware Netatalk does but you need to use "fun plug" and compile it on the DNS 325. It's sort of the last reason not to update to OSX Lion and/or a good reason to ditch the DNS 325. 

I asked a couple of months ago on the forums about an update to the firmware because of this but got no response. Is there some wish list or official way to contact DLINK? If any admin types are listening in please let us know if this is going to happen.

I've been considering getting anothe DNS-325 for my daughter at collge, part of which would be for time machine backup support for her macbook.. even though the DNS-325 has a bunch of features i'd rate above the time machine, if dlink can't update, it kind of kills that critical use case..  Hoping we get some news rsn.. otherwise it's likely timemachine here we come..

I upgraded to firmware 1.02 beta.
Didn't fix time machine. 
Hoping there is a 1.03 soon.  Time machine was a major factor in my purchase.
