DNS 320 Upnp issue
« on: October 28, 2011, 01:56:31 AM »

Hi,

I encounter an issue concerning the upnp ability.
I activated the upnp server on my DNS320, my internet provider box have upnp ability too.
But when i go into my box explorer, even if i can see my DNS320 on that, if i try to explore it and watch files in there... it doesn't work!!

1 Do you encounter same issues with internet provider (mine is FREE)
2 I'm looking also for solution with my provider (it could be a problem with his box), do you have info about the upnp server on DNS320 in order to permits me to give him the more information as possible.

THanks

I am not quite sure what you are trying to do and how your ISP is involved unless you are using the latest Free box which has a router built in.

Since UPnP is for use on your internal network - between the DNS-320 and UPnP AV compatible network media players, why is Free involved at all?

Have you tried streaming from the DNS-320 directly to your AV device and if so what were the results?  Also what AV device are you using?

I think you may have not understood what the Free box UPnP  is all about.  If you are using the latest freebox revolution it to has a UPnP server built in to allow streaming from it to your AV compatible network media players, just like the DNS-320.
