D-Link Replacement for my aging 4500
« on: January 22, 2012, 06:36:40 AM »

Is there a replacement for 4500?  Looking for one with guest network support.  Needs to perform since we have over 10 devices connected. 2 xboxes and multiple netflix or amazon streams going at once.

I was looking at the wndr400 by net gear but it will not allow you to name your devices on the router's connected devices list.

Never been a fan of their GUI interface so if D-link has a matching product I would like to hear about it.

thanks

is it aging? or is it just getting to much on the network? LOL
Any devices that need or support N or 5Ghz modes?
Could turn the 4500 into an AP if it still works well.

Dir-655 and 657 and 825 have guest zone. I like the 825 very well. Very zippy. Does simul 2.4 and 5Ghz. 6 series only does 2.4Ghz. 8 series is dual.
