Problems connecting from iTunes
« on: February 23, 2009, 12:44:19 PM »

Hope somebody can help me with this, strange problem:

I have enabled iTunes server in my dns-323. A "Shared" library is shown in iTunes - so far so good.

The prob is that I can only connect to it from 2 of the four user accounts we have on my family's pc (running XP Pro). With the 2 others when I click on the shared library, it says "loading" for a few secs and then skips to "local" library (on top). I've tried disabling and changing password in dns-323 -- no change. Also tried disabling itunes server, reboot, and enabling it again - no luck there either.

Why won't DNS-323 allow me to play the shared library from all user accounts?

Any idea?

Some additional info about my setup:

DNS-323 (2 x 500 GB hard drives in Raid 1), FW 1.06
The nas is connected to my dir-655 router.

Do you think the problem is in Windows, the router or the nas?

Thanks in advance

Problem solved:
After restoring the nas to factory settings and re-enabling iTunes server, all users now have access. Don't know what the problem was, though (but definately smth in the nas).
