Better connection speeds?
« on: February 10, 2012, 03:18:35 PM »

Just got a new DIR-645 connected.

Connecting an Xbox 360 with the wireless N adapter. The first time it connect, had blazing speeds of 100 Mbps or more.

But later in the day, those speeds dropped to 50 Mbps or so. Today, they're back to down to 70-100.

What could have caused this? My laptop still connects at 100 Mbps or more, even from the same distance.

When other devices connect, does that slow things down?

Any suggestions?

What wireless modes are you using. Try single mode N however be aware that the wireless adaptor on the xbox can only get up to 130mbs i believe. Read up on the gaming sticky about setting up QoS for XBL.
