DWL-G122: "AIrGCFG.exe - Entry point not found" error on start up
« on: September 27, 2009, 10:08:35 AM »

I am getting above message on every start up of my Windows XP desktop. Did some search on Google and it looks like it is related to the D-Link wireless adapter DWL- G122 which I have. I check on the D-link site for an update on the driver and didn't find any. Anyone had the same issue and can help me?

I have a similar problem...I just installed this USB adapter that I had stored for a few years...and it connects and access the web...but cannot access the configuration utility...gets a similar message at Xp startup....."The procedure entry point apssearch interface could not be located in the dynamic link library wlanap.dll"...and also another message.."appsGet Ready cannot be located in wlanap.dll".

Disabled the antivirus and firewall per directions at D-link support with no results...Also unistalled and re-installed the driver per D-Link directions and did not work.....

Any help is appreciatted...

I have Win Xp SP3 and D-Link DWL-G122 USB adapter H/W Version A2...Firmware Version 1.02.

It's puzzling, since otherwise the adapter is working ok....access the web...

Hi

Try this solution, (http://tinyurl.com/aquaft), download wlanapi.dll from the blogg and place them as instructed. I have rev b and have no problem with this driver, dwlg122_revb_driver_204, can't recall where I got it from, I am sure you can locate this with Google. Good Luck.

D-link recommends you use XP wireless 0 configuration services instead of D-link utility. You can configure your wireless set up from Network connection.

So let me be clear.  I have a DWL-G122 H/W Ver. A.2 Firmware Ver. 1.02.  The driver on the Australian site is compatible with Windows XP SP3?
