Can I load configuration from HW Rev A to HW Rev B?
« on: March 10, 2012, 09:04:51 AM »

Hello, I'm replacing my rev a3 with a rev B1 in hopes that my connection problems are hardware related.  I stuck with a DIR-655 so I don't have to re-program all my custom settings.

HOWEVER, I am attempting to load the settings file I saved from my A3 into my new B1 and it doesn't work.   ???  It says "The restored configuration file has been uploaded in failure".  "Press the button below to continue configuring the router".

That just takes me back to the manual setup screens again.  Am I screwed??   >:(

Thanks...

Config files from Rev As can only be loaded on Rev A's. Rev Bs can only be loaded on Rev Bs.

If the rev A is still functional, then I would take screen captures of the pages you need to configure on the Rev B.
