I just screwed myself...

Sounds funny, but serously, I f*d my DNS 323 and was hoping someone can assist.

I upgraded my firmware to 1.10 then decided to mess with Alt-F (which I should not have as I do not have a clue about networking).

I loaded the following three files in to my root folder on my drive 2 (as when I tried drive 1, nata happened)...

           Alt-F-0.1RC2.tar
           fun_plug
           fun_plug.tgz

A couple of reboots later, I can login through ALT-F home page through my old IP address.  The Dlink login page is now an "error" and I lost the view of both of my drives on the network!

I can see the drives clearly on the ALT-F page, but cannot map to them with my windows 7.

Two things I'm hoping someone can help out...

one, link or map the drives (window 7 do not see them nor the dns 323 in my network)

two, can i flash my firmware back to Dlinks 1.10?

I'm inclined to say this is the wrong place to look for help - go back where you got Alt-F & fun_plug and see what they say - someone there should know how you get out of the hole.

I'm also inclined to say that you should not have tried to install Alt-F and ffp at the same time - one or the other.

And last, but by no means least, try removing the drives and powering the system up - I don't think you actually flashed the Alt-F firmware - if that works, you can try mounting the drives in a PC with the appropriate IFS driver and remove any fun_plug file (or just wipe the data off) before returning to the DNS-323.

Thank you and thank you.  I didn't realized Alt-F had a group discussion.  Just post it there as well.  Like I said earlier, I'm a noob at this stuff.

Does that mean I shoud pull the drives out and use my SATA HDD docking hub and plug it into my pc.  Then use software like EXT2IFS to read the drive and delete any fun_plug files off the root?  How would I know which is a fun_plug file?  I see an alt-f file with nothing in it.  I also see an .systemfile in root.  Are either these the fun_plugs?
