FTP appears broken
« on: March 22, 2012, 06:16:54 AM »

I am using the DNS-323 with 1.10 firmware as a repository for jpg files taken from a motion sensing camera.  I ran into the problem that there is no easy way to get rid of the resulting jpg files once they are on the device.  I am using the ftp function of the camera to place the files which seems to work fine, I can ftp to the device but since there are over 10,000 jpg files there I think the ftp server is having some issues.

mdelete does not work at all and even if you get a directory listing it appears wrong.  At this point I'd be happy to just remove the directory and recreate it as I don't need any of the jpg's but I can't seem to find a way to do that from the web interface.

Here is the tail end of the directory with all the jpg's in it, I cut and past the name of the last file listed and try to get did on that one file and it returns 0 matches.

Have you tried using FileZilla from a PC to manipulate, delete etc., the files?

Ivan, I downloaded filezilla for my mac and it appears to be deleting files fine.  Thanks for the help, not sure whats going on with the simple ftp but this works for me.
