Hello,

I have a big problem to acces my DNS-323 after an Load Configuration Settings (should be corrupted).

The DNS start normally, it received an IP 192.168.127.220. top lamp blinks always

Using nmap i look for opened ports
port tcp 139 and tcp 445 are open only for web_page folder and  lp (the share folder is not available).
No acces via web port tcp 80 ou tcp 443. (web access for parameter)

I try to push the reset button ==> noting more
I try to remove the battery for 1 hour. Nothing. I will try a full night without battery

Try with or without hard drives in slots

firmware was early from 1.09 i could'nt remember but could be 1.07

How can i 'reset' configuration DNS-323, fttp, telnet or else ?

I just want to recover acces to my dns-323 / backup of all files are made

Of course, that's the first think i try

If you don't have a backup and need to get your data from the drives assuming they are either RAID 1 or standard configuration - anything else and it is a no go.

First you need either an SATA hot plug rack in your computer or an SATA / USB adapter.

Next, if you are using windows you need to read the sticky 'DNS-323 - Data Recovery (Windows)' thread and get copies of the IFS mentioned.

Once you have your data backed up you can have a serious look at the hardware to try and determine if that is the problem.  If it is you may need to get another unit.

Thanks for your anwer, data are not a problem, it's only backup. Ihave new backup files.

But how to start dns-323 in rescue mode perhaps, or without using parameters. It does not mount any disk.
(used blank disk) (after an azardous corrupted recovery parameters).

No web gui is avalable.

Since you have tried different HDs and the unit still doesn't work, you may have a hardware problem in the unit or there night be a problem with the power supply. 

A quick test it to see if the fan is running and the indicator light are on at the ethernet socket - make sure it is connected to the network.

You can check the power supply with a small multi-meter - it should give +5v and +12v.  If one is missing or low there is the problem which may have caused other problems in the unit itself.

If the power supply is OK then there is a hardware problem in the unit itself which may be as simple as a dry solder joint or serious as a failed component.  Dry solder joints can usually be seen and fixed, component failure is another matter unless you have training in electronics, sorry.
