Netopia Dsl modem bit the big Kitty biscut in the sky, replaced with DSL-2540B set port forwarding etc. now my web server can not be seen inside the network unless I use ip addressing ie 192.168.1.1, (works great outside the network www.whatever.com) , I was able to see the webserver inside my network with the netopia modem, has anyone else ran across this? is there a workaround besides updating the hosts on all computers in the network? or would I have to buy another Netopia modem. I like the setup on the DSL-2540B so I would like to use it vice another Netopia. The modem 10.0.0.1 is connected to a router that has a built-in webserver 10.0.0.2 I can access the webserver by connecting to a eithernet port on the modem and going to 10.0.0.2 and the web site comes up, that means that the router is setup to allow the webserver to be seen on the wan (red) side of the router, port 80 is forwarded to 10.0.0.2 the red side of the router, what is going on? By the way, without port 80 forwarded (which puts the modem setup on port 80 vice 8080) and I access the website ie www.whatever.com inside the lan and the moNetopia DSL-Modem login screen comes up, that means the dns resolves correctly. Any ideas??
