Hi. I have forwarded port 80 to access the NAS from the web but it takes soooo long to access.....
I wonder what the main problem is: in my country, almost all residential internet connections are asymetric, and upstream bandwidth rarely surpasses 512k. In my case, it is capped at 256k. FTTH networks are slowly being deployed, and they offer symetric connections. But they are not near my house

To make things worse, I usually want to access while torrents are being downloaded, and it is almost impossible.
Is there a way to configure the NAS so as to pause torrents when someone is trying to access from the internet? Or I should limit the upstream speed in the torrent client settings?
Which is the minimum upstream bandwidth to achieve a decent access speed to the NAS?
Could you share your experience of accessing the NAS from the internet? I wonder the problem is related to upstream bandwidth because I can access pretty quickly from my wireless lan at home.
Thank you for your comments.
