Cisco VPN

I'm using a DGL-4500 with firmware 1.15 and am having a problem with my cisco vpn (running on a mac).  I can connect and any http traffic works fine.  When I telnet in the first time it connects quickly the second time it hangs for around 60 seconds before finally connecting.  It didn't do this with my DIR-655 nor if I bypass the router.  It happens on both my computers.  I tried playing around withe the various firewall settings with no luck.  Any ideas?
