I own the DIR-655 version B1 (EU version) living in the UK.
I play xbox, specifically in Halo Reach. My setup isn't straight forward as I have 2 xboxes in the house, one wired and one wireless and I need to keep the NAT ratings open on both. This limits me to certain settings, and doesn't allow QOS on the v2.00 firmware due to my need to have dynamic ip addresses.
I have just flashed the router's firmware with new version (DIR655B1_FW205B06) as it appeared available for download in the router's firmware menu. The old version was FW2.00 as said.
What would be a massive help to me would be knowing what settings would best suite for my situation i.e on-line gaming with 2 xboxes. I strive to have the best connection possible but I don't know 100% which settings in the firmware are best, especially these: PPTP, IPsec, RTSP & SIP.
Can anyone tell me which settings 'enabled' will help and which settings will hinder. Most importantly firewall stuff? If anyone needs to know what I have enabled now I can post them in here, no problem.
Any other settings to enable or disable, for wired, or wireless, that will optimise for xbox gaming would be much appreciated.
Finally, I also have fw version DIR655B1_FW206B02, which was emailed to me by D-Link, if this is any better. I haven't installed it due to reading a post on this site that said any fw version not on the D-Link website might be unsupported.
