iTunes Server enabled - iTunes cannot connect - FIXED
« on: July 07, 2012, 07:59:27 AM »

I just setup my new DNS-325 yesterday, formatted my drives, got Time Machine backups going and started dumping files on it. Today, I decided to try out the iTunes server. I enabled it, selected the source folder, did not require a password, then turned it on.
When I open iTunes I see my DNS-325 in the shared playlists bar, but it will not load the song. I only added one one mp3 as a test but it cannot find the music. iTunes hangs on "loading.."

Is there a special file structure I need to follow?

Sysetm info:
MacBook Pro OSX 10.7.4
iTunes 10.6.3(25)
DNS-325 Firmware version 1.02

Nope, current firmware just doesn't work with iTunes 10.x
Your options are:
1) to hope it gets fixed in next firmware release
2) go for another iTunes server, most freeware ones have fixed the problem some time ago.
Option 2 obviously mandates you take non-sanctioned measures to modify your firmware.
