No audio on videos streamed from the NAS to XBMC

I've enabled UPNP on the NAS and am able to connect to it from XBMC (Eden) running on my AppleTV (gen 1); however, there is no sound coming from the videos played from the NAS.

The same videos have sound when copied over to the AppleTV HD and played locally using XBMC.

One of the reasons I bought this NAS was to be able to store my video library on it and be able to stream video to XBMC.

Has anyone experienced similar issues and found a solution?
