2dbi or 5dbi antenna
« on: November 17, 2012, 01:33:47 AM »

Why did the 655 come with the 2dbi antennas and not the 5dbi antennas like most of the other dlink routers? Can we purchase the 5dbi antennas separately from dlink?

Probably wasnt a big different since this router only has one radio where the dual banders have 2 radios. Antenna propagation was balanced out with using the smaller antenna vs the bigger ones, so didnt make much difference, cost effective measure. Who knows. You could put other antennea on. Iwould get that center connection fixed first.
