Short but sweet, I want to open ports 6112-6119 for simple hosting on a game. Firewalls are letting it through, ports are "configured" on the router page, but the port decides to remain closed. My friend and I have concluded its router issues, but I'm trying to get as many opinions as possible.

What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under router.
What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on routers web page under status.
What region are you located?
Are you wired or wireless connected to the router?

What ISP Service do you have? Cable or DSL?
What ISP Modem do you have? Stand Alone or built in router?
What ISP Modem make and model do you have?
If this modem has a built in router, it's best to bridge the modem. Having 2 routers on the same line can cause connection problems.
To tell if the modem is bridged or not, look at the routers web page, Status/Device Info/Wan Section, if there is a 192.168.0.# address in the WAN IP address field, then the modem is not bridged.
If the modem can't be bridged then see if the modem has a DMZ option and input the IP address the router gets from the modem and put that into the modems DMZ.

Some things to try:
Turn off ALL QoS or Disable Traffic Shaping (DIR only) GameFuel (DGL only and if ON.) options. Advanced/QoS or Gamefuel.
Turn off Advanced DNS Services if you have this option under Setup/Internet/Manual.
Turn on DNS Relay under Setup/Networking.
Setup DHCP reserved IP addresses for all devices ON the router. Setup/Networking
Ensure devices are set to auto obtain an IP address.
Set Firewall settings to Endpoint Independent for TCP and UDP under Advanced/Firewall.
Enable uPnP and Multi-cast Streaming under Advanced/Networking.

Turn off all anti virus and firewall programs on PC while testing. 3rd party firewalls are not generally needed when using routers as they are effective on blocking malicious inbound traffic.
Turn off all devices accept for one wired PC while testing.

Having the same problem.

Region: North America
It's a wired connection to my computer.
Cable.
Stand Alone.
Modem:Motorola SB5101 Surfboard.

I checked like you told me to I am sure My modem is Stand alone. But it passes through a Voip telephone modem. So, in the WAN section there is no 192.168.0.x number.

Possible that your Telephone modem is possibly causing the connection to not work?
Can you place the telephone modem after the router and test the 615 directly to the ISP Modem?

I tried it without the viop adapter. It doesn't work. also, In the wan section. It does not show any number with 192.168.0.x. But these numbers show up in Lan section.

Are you using Port Forward or can you try using Virtual Server instead?

How are you checking to see if the ports are open? You do have to be actively using the ports before checking or you'll get a false negative.

How are you configuring the ports?

Tried Virtual Server, it doesn't work.

How are you entering in the ports into the routers configuration?

192.168.0.1. then logging in as admin. Advanced tab -- Port Forwarding.
Name- DC
Ip- 192.168.0.100. I also choose my computer and press the left arrow button above it.
ports: any doesn't matter. Except 80, 81, 25. For both TCP and UDP
Schedule: always  (should it remain "always" or should i change it to "never"?)
Inbound Filter:  Allow All.

If it's not being scheduled for anything I would presume that Never should be used.
I might try BOTH instead of any.

If there is a check mark box next to the rule, make sure you select it to enable it, save and reboot.

Also, I actually use both UDP and TCP.
And It's checked.
