I wish Dlink would call this the Whole Home Router , I live in a raised ranch house and this router doesn't come close to providing internet to half of it. I wish my US Robotics router didn't fail. That router covered every inch and i had coverage in both the front and back yards of my house

Kind of depends on the range your looking at man. How big is this range house and land your working with? Also be aware of that as devices change due to technology, also regulations change as well. Older routers and wifi didn't have as much regulation on them as they do now so signal and range has been reduced some to something call a "Good Neighbor" policy  on all Mfr WiFi routers and APs. So range is reduced and operation is more compliant due to this policy. If you need more range and coverage then you may want to get into bridges or repeaters to help you get more range and coverage to the areas that you need. These routers work well in a small foot print area, however even that can be effected by building materials and external environment conditions.

You could do this if you needed to:

Good luck.
