Hi,
I have just bought a DIR-825 rev C1 stock firmware 3.0 (19 Jan 2012,) and I am pleased with its performance so far. However, I need to allow DHCP renewal request to pass through from all IP to UDP port 67 to UDP port 68; or else I will have to reboot DIR-825 every 24 hours (which is not fun

). My U-verse 2wire modem is a 3600HGV. Can someone point me to where I should go to get it done?
This quote is from SomeJoe777 in AT&T forum:
If your router works until DHCP lease time expires, you need to open a firewall hole on your router for DHCP. This is usually necessary only if you're running aftermarket firmware on the router like DD-WRT or Tomato.
Because the 2Wire routers have a flaw in their DHCP implementation, you have to allow inbound DHCP requests/renewals/acks from all IP addresses instead of just the RG's IP. Thus, allow all traffic from any IP on UDP port 67 to go to any IP on UDP port 68.
This will enable your router to properly renew DHCP with the 2Wire.
BONUS question: The reason why I need to buy a new DLink router in the first place is that my DIR-655 is refusing to reset even when I pressed the reset button for more than 3 minutes. It has never been flashed by any firmware other than stock

. Hard reset method 30/30/30 did not work as well and sadly my warranty time is over. Thus, I cannot log in to the router, even when I connect just the router to my laptop.
The LED status light has blacked out for the last 2 days, however wired connection is still working fine.
Should I tear it up to see if the reset button's contact came loose, or what should I do with it :/
