Firewall rule to block Windows Live Messenger?
« on: April 01, 2010, 03:45:55 PM »

Hi everybody, I need a firewall rule to block Windows Live Messenger, I need an example of how to do this. I want to block the access to Windows Live Messenger in my office with my DIR-330's firewall. So I want to block the access to everybody connected to my router DIR-330. Thanks!

You'd need to find all the port numbers that MSN uses then input those ports into the DIRs firewall rules. I presume if the 330 has custom rules that users and input and use. Then you would use the DENY option.
