Coniguration help
« on: September 30, 2012, 09:44:38 AM »

Hi, I got a DGL-4500 ver A1 with firmware 1.01. I've never had trouble with it so I didn't need to change anything in it, "If it ain't broken don't fix it". Now I've changed from cable to DSL. My ISO has provided me with an ADSL modem/gateway - Technicolor TG582n. If I've been reading correctly all I have to do is configure it to PPPoE as it says in the manual and that's it. I'm asking to be sure before I call the ISP for the username and password they have to provide me. Is there anything else I need to do to have my DGL setup correctly?

Need to make sure the ISP modem is bridgable and if so, bridged, then after that, use the PPPoE connection on the DGL, use your account info they give you for your DSL acct. Also select ALWAYS ON on the DGL as well. Should work well after you power cycle the ISP modem and router after the modem has sycned.
