Access is denied
« on: October 08, 2012, 08:42:51 AM »

I am trying to delete some files from my DNS325. I am receiving the access denied error message. As far as I know the files are not in use-"unlocker" says there are no handles and "unlocker" could not delete it. I cannot rename nor delete the files. Nor can I paste other files in this folder

I can copy the files to another folder (on DNS325) and delete the new copies.

I have tried rebooting the DNS325 and my computer. I even tried deleting from DOS using the command prompt. The CACLS command in dos says everyone has full control to every file. I tried changing the folder's CACLS to everyone:Full permissions but access was denied (it was read).

Any ideas what to do next.

Thanks

Try Web File Server in NAS web interface under Applications.
