Hi D-Link Forums!!
Sorry if this has been reposted elsewhere, but I couldn't find anything that answered my query.
I purchased the D Link DNS-320 ShareCenter NAS a few months ago with 1x2TB hard drive and the time has to come to buy a second 2TB drive as the first one is nearly full. My question is when I order and receive the second 2TB drive then is it a matter of just adding the drive in the spare bay then it will be recognised as extra storage or will the NAS format both drives?
I want them to combine to be 4TB of storage (I believe this is RAID 0?) but I don't want to run the risk of losing the content that is on the drive already.
I use my NAS as my iTunes library, so I want the 2x2TB drives to appear as one volume and one library.
I am starting to look at 4 bay NAS boxes so I can back up my current hard drives, but that wil have to wait a little longer.
Thanks in advance
