No Internet Acces
« on: October 28, 2012, 12:14:11 AM »

Hey everyone, i have a big big problem.

About 3 months ago i bought myself a D-Link 615 Router, thinking that i needed one for the time being, and when i was gonna go to college (wich is now) i'm still gonna need one.

Worked like a charm for about a month. Then i left for college, and didn't need the router for like 4 weeks.

Now i REALLY need the router and it doesn't work... The little globe light is orange instead of green, and it looks like it's connected to the wireless network, but i get a yellow ! and "No internet Acces" Message.

Good so i go to the same store where i bought it from(only in a different city) and the guy there is really awesome and just gives me another one...on the spot..and takes mine...i was there,it was the exact same router from the shelf...the box was sealed...everything was sealed....imagine my happyness...

Now i try to make it work, and guess what...same thing...same No internet Acces, and orange light instead of green.

Why?

DETAILS:

Router: D-Link 615
Firmware: 8.02
H/W: H2
ISP: RCS&RDS (i'm from Europe/Romania)
Internet Connection: PPPoE (username/password)
Device: HP Laptop

The thing is that i'm at some relatives here, and now i need wireless for my laptop, and cable for my cousins PC.And right now not one is working.

Problem: The internet Connection (or something like that...the little glove light) is green for a few seconds and then goes all orange on me....

Please help me, i don't know what else to do...already changed the damn router and i still have this problem...

Thank you so much!

Usually the orange light is an indicator that the data connection between the router and ISP modem or services is not connecting right. Ensure that your PPPoE ISP account information is being entered into the 615 correctly and accurately. I would check with your ISP services and make sure the ISP modem and services are working and connecting correctly. Ask them to check there logs for any connection issues. They should be able to help you get the services connected to the router.
