Hi!
I've had no problems what so ever with my router until yesterday when I suddenly can't connect to my email accounts using Mozilla Thunderbird or my Android phone. I also are having problems downloading torrents using Utorrent, and I have tried Bittorrent aswell, but I only get connection timed out on my torrents.

What can I do to resolve this? Reset to factory settings or what?

I would power OFF both ISP modem and 645 then power ON the ISP modem then 645 and try again.

What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under router.
Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on routers web page under status.
What region are you located?
Are you wired or wireless connected to the router?

What ISP Service do you have? Cable or DSL?
What ISP Modem do you have? Stand Alone or built in router?
What ISP Modem make and model do you have?
If this modem has a built in router, it's best to bridge the modem. Having 2 routers on the same line can cause connection problems.
Double NAT
To tell if the modem is bridged or not, look at the routers web page, Status/Device Info/Wan Section, if there is a 192.168.0.# address in the WAN IP address field, then the modem is not bridged.
If the modem can't be bridged then see if the modem has a DMZ option and input the IP address the router gets from the modem and put that into the modems DMZ.

Some things to try: - Log into the routers web page at 192.168.0.1.
Turn off ALL QoS or Disable Traffic Shaping (DIR only) GameFuel (DGL only and if ON.) options. Advanced/QoS or Gamefuel.
Turn off Advanced DNS Services if you have this option under Setup/Internet/Manual.
Turn on DNS Relay under Setup/Networking.
Setup DHCP reserved IP addresses for all devices ON the router. Setup/Networking. This ensures each devices gets its own IP address when turned on and connected, eliminates IP address conflicts and helps in troubleshooting.
Ensure devices are set to auto obtain an IP address.
Set Firewall settings to Endpoint Independent for TCP and UDP under Advanced/Firewall.
Enable uPnP and Multi-cast Streaming under Advanced/Networking. Disable uPnP for testing Port Forwarding rules.
WAN Port Speed set to Auto or specific speed? Some newer ISP modems support 1000Mb so manually setting to Gb speeds can be supported by the router. Advanced/Advanced Networking/WAN Port Speed

I have tried to turn off the power on my 645 and I have even reset it to factory settings, without any result.

I have firmware 1.01.

The region I'm in is Europe (Sweden).
I have tried to connect using both wired and wireless, none of them will work with my email client or utorrent.

My ISP service is cable. So, I don't use a modem.

I will try some of the things you posted too, will let you know if they will work or not.

The thing that I don't understand is that everything worked when I first installed everything, then one day it stopped working.

I would also ask your ISP if there is an specific settings that you might need. Are you sure BTs are not being blick by your ISP?   Please ask your ISP also if there are specific MTU settings they generally use, for cable modem systems, usually 1500 and for DSL anywhere from 1454 up to 1492.

Usually only email account settings in the email client programs need to be set up. All actual data traffic come and going through the router is wide open and doesn't normally need any sort of configuration with in the router.

Do other places like surfing the Internet and going to web sites work other than these 2 problems?

Yes, all other things work fine. No problem at all surfing the web.

I have noticed that I'm not able to reach my email with my android phone using the wireless connection at home either.
