Local Backup - Url problem
« on: November 10, 2012, 04:48:54 PM »

So i have been trying this out for a couple hours but i dont get it right. I have search this forum for some answers but i dont find any suitable.
Im trying to use the URL-path \\ServerName\ShareName\Directory\ (\\192.168.0.5\W\Documents\)
but i get a fail at the test results Test Result: Fail. File Size: Unavailable. I have checked LAN Backup and Folder settings, firewall is off.
I bought DNS-320 to be able to do backups.
What to do now?

Two things.  First did you read the section about local backups in the manual (begins on page 79 in my english manual)?

Second, try using forward slashes rather than back slashes, i.e. //192.168.0.5/W/Documents/  also make sure of spelling and capital letters because to the linux operating system Documents is not the same as documents.
