Access to mapped drives after reboot
« on: April 18, 2009, 08:02:04 AM »

Hi,

I have an issue everytime I am restarting my Windos XP SP3. I see my two network drives (DNS 323 drives connected via easy connect) as disconnected, I can still access those drives with Total commander for example and then the drives will be seen as connected.

My problem is that for a lot of softwares, like my media center for example, If I don't click on the network drives with total commander firts, these software wont be able to find the network drives.

Is there a solution in win xp to really "auto connect" the network mapped drives from the D-link (I think this is not related to the dns 323 itself.)

Many Thanks,

Lobo

Found my issue.

When mapping drives using the easy search the drives are not properly mapped in Windows xp.

Instead of this I remapped the drives using the normal winxp mapdrive utility \\IP address of DNS323\drive
and it works like a charm at all reboots ..
