« on: February 15, 2013, 03:34:45 PM »

Is it possible to use the dir-505 as a bridge on my home network so that i can connect my ethernet equipped pc or sky satelite box to the wifi network?

How do i set this up.

Thanks.

Can anyone advise on this. I am hoping the 505 can receive the wifi signal and output via Ethernet.

Is this possible.

Many thanks.

Everything I've read and experienced indicates that the 505's ethernet port is input only -- that is, it has no AP Client feature.

EDIT: However, see this post --->  http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=51623.0

The OP configured his 505 as a Repeater and connected it via cable to an ethernet printer.
The printer had a fixed IP address on the same sub-net.
